Devils Club is a member of the ginseng family that is native to the conifer forests of northwestern North America. The root bark of the thorny plant, dubbed “Tlingit aspirin” by the indigenous Tlingit people of Alaska, is used to produce tea, tinctures, liquid extracts and poultices.

Devil’s claw is a sprawling groundcover native to South Africa that is related to sesame . The roots and secondary tubers of the plant are used to prepare tea, extracts and topical ointments.
